The Information, Telecommunications and Media Law education Program deals with the civil and public law issues of modern communications and information society in a uniform structure. It can be started in any semester. The specialisation area examination accounts for 30% of the grade of the 1st state examination. The core area examination comprises 7 examinations and 1 seminar:
3 exams for compulsory courses: Information Law, Copyright Law of Intellectual Property, Data Protection Law, International Media Business Law, Competition Law, Antitrust Law, Intellectual Property Law)
1 written exam for the basic course (e.g. Philosophy of Law, Modern European Private Law History, Fundamentals of Legal Theory, Law & Economics)
1 seminar in the field of ITM, including the preparation of a paper and an oral presentation (participation in the seminar requires attendance of the compulsory courses on information law and broadcasting and press law or equivalent proven outstanding knowledge in the field of ITM)
A total of 30 credits must be earned in order to pass the specialization exam: Each exam brings 3 credits, the seminar brings 9 credits. The additional training continues to exist, the certificate is still awarded.
