The Project “Respect”, funded by the European Commission as part of the Information Society Technologies (IST) programme, aims at establishing professional and ethical guidelines in the area of socio-economic research in an interdisciplinary cooperation between different Institutes from Great Britain, Belgium, Hungary, Austria and Germany. As German project partner, the Civil Law Department of the ITM develops guidelines under the aspect of „RESPECT for Intellectual Property“ in order to guarantee that copyrighted content in the area of socio-economic research is used in full respect of copyright rules. In that context, the copyright systems of the different member states are analyzed with particular regard to the implementation of the new EU Copyright Directive.
